ABOUT DR. KARGES

Dr. Margaret "Meg" Riesenberg-Karges started her practice after growing weary of hearing of the difficulties patients had navigating large healthcare systems. She strongly believes that these models ultimately place both parties at a disadvantage when it comes to developing the patient-physician relationship. Sonoran Sky Surgical is devoted to ensuring the patient is a priority.

The need to undergo a surgical procedure requires an enormous amount of trust on the part of you, the patient. She vows to treat you as she would want herself or her family member treated, and will not recommend a surgical procedure unless she genuinely believes it is for your benefit. She will do her best to earn your trust by explaining all potential options in regards to the reason for your visit, and hope that her attentiveness, thoroughness, and down-to-earth approach instills confidence. Additionally, if needed, she will go out of her way to coordinate your healthcare with other physicians.

Dr. Karges was born and raised in Des Moines, Iowa. She went to undergraduate and medical school at Saint Louis University, in St. Louis, MO. She started her general surgery residency at the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee, WI and completed it at Bassett Medical Center in Cooperstown, NY. Her and her husband, Chris, moved to Arizona in 2016 and never regret missing the cold, snowy winters they grew up with. They enjoy spending time with their dogs, Daisy and Norman, experimenting in the kitchen, traveling as much as possible (though not often enough), and envying other's custom classic cars.
